Your invitation to exercise budget US

on 14 November, The Des Moines Register, in partnership with Drake University, will sponsor The Concord Coalition’s interactive budget exercise. Iowans will have the opportunity to make their own plans for the reduction of the deficit and have their voices heard the face of Congressional Budget Act Super-reduction Committee s since the end of this month.

Who: The Concord Coalition, a nonpartisan organization established in 1992 to educate the public about the causes and consequences of federal budget deficits.

What: interactive exercises in which participants work in groups to balance the federal budget, including expenditures, taxes and rights reform. The budget exercise will be introduced by the Executive Director of the Concord Coalition Robert Bixby and led by the coalition’s Midwest Regional Director Sara Imhof.

Where: parents Hall-Olmsted Center, 2875 University Ave., Des Moines.
